Celebrate locomotive culture by visiting the Twin Cities Model Railroad Museum with your girls and boys. This museum has roughly 800 square feet of interactive scaled railroad landscape. A model of the St. Anthony Falls and the Washburn “Mill A” is creatively reconstructed to show how important railroads were to Minneapolis industry. My boy enjoys watching the trains and pressing buttons to animate urban models. Up front is a large seating area for you to rest and watch your child play on one of the train tables. These trains are a sure way to teach some history and have fun at the same time. Museum admission is $8.00 on weekends and $6.00 week days. Admission for children under 5 is free. Parking is also free.
