The Works is a hands-on Science and Engineering museum designed to teach young children about technology. Gears and levers are simple machines that bring your children’s scientific interest to a higher level. Empower your child by using a pulley system to “lift up Daddy”. Have your children build a K-Nex car and then race for competitions with siblings. If your children love light and color visit the laser harp to create music and interact with lasers. You can also create your own dancing laser programmed by the children. These are just a few of the many exhibits to explore with your kids. The museum always has the Design Lab to create your own take home project. The museum’s size is very manageable for 3 and 5 year old children. This smaller size also helps the staff to focus their efforts to create top notch experiences for children. Pack a lunch and make a day of The Works. Admission is $8 per person but annual membership is $50.
